Bio
This is my ninth
year at ARS. Initially, I taught communications, then first grade, kindergarten
and currently first grade once again (now referred to as looping). Having a B.S and M.S. in early childhood and elementary education from The College of St. Rose in Albany,
New York, provides me with a solid background in child development.
Prior to relocating from Upstate New York, my teaching experiences were
extensive including preschool, elementary school, college instruction for
early-childhood educators, and host to several international students.

Our looping class will actively engage in all content areas following the North Carolina Standard Course of Study for first grade curriculum. Our location allows many opportunities to initiate and participate in community activities. Daily, our students demonstrate their passion for curiosity, enthusiasm, and discovery by involving themselves in "hands-on" life/learning experiences.

Hobbies
/ Interests

I enjoy spending
time with my husband browsing through antique stores searching for unusual
furniture, pottery, glass, and books. Gardening has become a favorite pasttime.
