Bio

It's hard to believe I am starting my 9th year here at American Renaissance.   I have 3 sons and one beautiful granddaughter who all live in Statesville.  Originally from Ohio, I have been in North Carolina since 1994 and have enjoyed every second. I am not a true "snowbird" I guess because I really don't wish for "weather" when it gets that time of year.

As most of you know, I am in a somewhat different role this year. I am no longer found here until 5:30 pm doing After School. I am the Coordinator of the Before and After School Program which means I take care of the administrative duties involved with the programs and am here at 6:30 am to run the Before School Care Program. I am also the Kindergarten Assistant which involves various duties.

I can also be found in the Renaissance Cafe (otherwise known as the RV) every morning from 7:50 to 8:30 am with my fabulous AR Group, the Travelers.

Hobbies / Interests

On Friday nights, I can be found at Greyhound Hollow or other schools around the state cheering on #45 for the Statesville Greyhounds. A lot of you remember Trevor when he attended school here in 4th and 5th grade and I am very proud of his accomplishments and to say that he is a former ARCS student.

I also am known as a huge "Buckeye" fan...and have some rivalry going on with some students who choose to root for "other teams"!!
I love to read and travel, especially to Disney World and the beach. My spare time is spent with family and friends. Shel Silverstein is my favorite children's author (The Giving Tree) and my favorite adult authors are Patricia Cornwell, John Grisham, and Nicholas Sparks.
