I was born and raised in Statesville, NC, and I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I received at B.A. in Middle School Education. Previously, I have taught with the Iredell-Statesville System. This will be my sixth year at ARS, and I am really excited about having a 2^nd grade AR group! I am married to Darren, and we have a daughter, Sara, who is a fifth grader at ARS. 
My favorite author is J. K. Rowling, although I love to read just about anything.
