Bio
Hi! My name is Claire Spence (Miss Spence). I will be teaching Kindergarten. I graduated from UNC Charlotte with a BA in elementary education and I’m currently working on my Masters in Child and Family, specializing in Special Education. I have 8 years teaching experience in Pre-K and Kindergarten rooms combined. I taught the last two years at Chesterbrook Academy in Huntersville teaching Junior Kindergarten. I can’t tell you how excited I am to be teaching at such a great school and with a super friendly staff.
I became a citizen of the U.S. less than a year ago. I lived in Ireland for the first 17 years of my life. I lived in Belfast and moved to NC 10 years ago. I recently moved into a Davidson apartment. I just love the area and the lake (not the bugs). I have a Dalmatian dog named Spot and she loves to go for walks in the local park.

Interests / Hobbies
In my free time I really enjoy going to Barnes and Noble to read and jogging at the local YMCA. I like to treat myself to Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream from Ben and Jerry’s in Davidson.
