My name is Katie Sawney and I am 25 years old. I receiced my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian States University in 2000 and have spent the last three years teaching here in Statesville. I am also currently working on my Masters degree in Elementary Education from Gardner-Webb University. I am excited to be here at American Renaissance and ready to start a new year.

My favorite books are: Ruby Holler, A Year Down Yonder, the Harry Potter series, and A Long Way From Chicago. The movies I enjoy are: The Last Mimzy, Mulan, Eragon, Hoot, and The Parent Trap.
